Price for private detective

Hiring a private investigator always raises the same question: "Will I know exactly how much I'll pay in the end?" In Portugal, most agencies work with hourly rates (between 40 and 70 euros ), which can be a financial trap for the client. We at Private Investigators Portugal have changed the game.

Fixed price vs. hourly rate: Why is the “fixed price” the better choice?

At our agency, we don't work by the hour, but rather with a focus on results . Here are four reasons why we don't use hourly rates to help you save money:

  1. Say goodbye to financial uncertainty: An hourly rate of €40 to €70 may seem cheap, but 12 hours of work can quickly add up to a bill of €2,400 to €4,200 within just a few days. With a fixed price, the agreed amount is the final price.

  2. Full cost transparency: Forget about unexpected mileage surcharges (€0.50/km). Investigations in Lisbon or Porto can cover hundreds of kilometers; with us, fuel is already included.

  3. Operational cost control: We do not charge for meals or "luxury services." The focus is on results, not the detective's restaurant bill.

  4. Strategy over time: The hourly rate system leads to a conflict of interest. The client wants to save costs and sends the detective home at the wrong time. With a fixed price, our team can determine the optimal time for deployment and thus guarantee the quality of the evidence.

With the fixed-price model, the private investigator and client discuss price and working hours only once. Once the client agrees, the entire process focuses exclusively on the quality and speed of service delivery.
