If you feel that your journeys are being monitored, or if there is a strange coincidence that third parties are present at your destinations, your vehicle could be equipped with a hidden GPS tracker .
Nowadays, magnetic devices the size of a matchbox can be hidden in seconds. But what can be easily hidden cannot escape our technology.
Why do visual inspections fail?
Most professional GPS trackers are installed in hard-to-reach places: in bumpers, wheel wells, the dashboard, or even connected directly to the vehicle's electrical system. A normal flashlight is not sufficient for this.
Our detection technology (The difference)
At Private Detectives Portugal , we do not use toys or commercially available equipment. Our vehicle search protocol is based on three security levels:
1. High-frequency analysis (HF analysis)
Many tracking devices use mobile networks for location determination. We use a digital spectrum analyzer to capture the exact time of the communication attempt and thus identify hidden 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G signals.
2. Forensic thermography
Even in "silent" mode (when the GPS device is not currently transmitting a signal), the battery and processor generate a heat signature. With our highly sensitive thermal imaging camera , we can detect anomalous heat spots in upholstery, plastics, and mechanical components.
3. Optical and magnetic inspection
We use devices that detect the physical presence of electronic components and neodymium magnets, ensuring that no device is left behind, even when switched off.
How does the service work?
Discreet appointment scheduling: We will meet at a safe and neutral location.
Full scan: The inspection takes between 45 and 90 minutes.
Immediate verdict: At the end, the customer receives confirmation that the vehicle has been cleaned, or physical proof of the device found.
